The Quickbinder offers a unique diversity in application technology through the optional processing of hotmelt, dispersion and PUR (roller + nozzle) as well as the optimal processing of gauzing material for the production of book blocks or brochures with gauzing (i.e. swiss-brochures, Otabind-brochures) in one working process.
The Quickbinder is a universal adhesive binder with a small size of only 4.1m length and 1.8m width, but all the features of an industrial perfect binder. An outstanding feature of the Quickbinder is the fully motorized adjustment of all functions for adjusting product thickness and envelope size. The combination of motorized adjustment and graphical interactive user interface Navigator, forms the basis for a simple operation and a very economical operation. With a wide format range from A6 to A3 (A4 landscape) and product thicknesses up to 70mm the Quickbinder can be used for nearly all imaginable production tasks.
Optimized for the respective user, the Quickbinder is available in the following equipment variants:

CITY e
The automatic perfect binder
The City e is the ideal perfect binder for industrial finishing- and printing companies. Frequent job changes along with high productivity, is the daily business for this automatic perfect binder. The outstanding feature of the City e is the intelligent combination of motorized and manual adjustments.
All main and important functions are adjustable via Navigator by motor control; seldom-used adjustments can be set manually in a precise and reproducible manner. This makes the City e an automatic perfect binder with excellent cost/performance ratio.
With a total length of about 6.3 metre the City e belongs to the most compact perfect binders in its class. When inline connected with gathering machines, the available 90°- or 180° configuration allow users to install this perfect binder with high specification in very limited spaces. Despite its compactness the City e features components which guarantee a high level of product quality, i.e. 2. pressing station for spine forming.

VENTO
The dynamic perfect binder
The perfect binder Vento is a allrounder in the medium performance segment. The Vento can flexibly be adapted to a wide range of application requirement of a specialized finishing company. Starting from the production of Swiss brochures or Otabind brochures up to the production of gatefolded products, the Vento offers a solution for every requirement.
Further technical and interesting solutions are the energy efficient PUR-nozzle system QuickJet as well as the use of dynamic-drive Technology for several components. Space-saving system configuration by means of 90°- or 180°-curve between gathering machine and perfect binder allow to install highly specified systems in space limited places.
The spine preparation can be equipped with a chip- or a dust milling tool as required and guarantees a reliable and accurate milling process. The 2nd station is frequency-controlled as standard in additional to it, being equipped with a multiple knife head. The height of each of the stations can be individually adjusted by means of a motor and can be simply swivelled out of the perfect binder in order for maintenance work to be carried out.

GATHERING MACHINE SPRINTER
The Sprinter gathering machines are designed based on the modular concept. All elements can be combined individually and used both as stand-alone machines or inline with a perfect binder. The machine’s low height, clearly laid out arrangement and functional design represent a visible expression of modern mechanical engineering, always with an eye on technical safety and reliability aspects.
The Winjector is a new, compact and patented suction pump system for optimized vacuum generation. Based on the multi-stage ejector technology (Coax®-Technology) vacuum is locally generated from compressed air. Its compact design allows the use in the various stations of the gathering machine Sprinter i.e. each station has two decoupled Winjectors creating a vacuum where it is needed.
This new technology also offers the advantage that the vacuum can be controlled individually in its strength and the sheet is separated by a blow-off specifically from the sucker. This increases process reliability and productivity. The elimination of conventional vacuum pumps results in and up to 80% less noise.

THREE-KNIFE TRIMMERS
Trim-tec 25o (no inline connection to perfect binder)
The stand-alone trimmer
The trim-tec 25o is a compact, solid and low cost universal machine for trimming of perfect bound products, newspaper, saddle stitching products, etc. The offline three-knife trimmer has been developed especially for customer of solo perfect bindery in the small and middle edition segment. One of its strength is the special application requirement, in which, due to its large size kit even oversized products can be trimmed on all four sides without problems.
The adjustment accuracy can be guaranteed due to an easy graphical touch screen operating interface with corresponding visualisation of all functions on the terminal.

The trimmed products are passing through the machine and being automatically discharged towards the back of the machine. - Return mode «one operating mode»
The products are manually loaded into the gripper system, automatically trimmed and then returned towards the operator.

Trim-tec 60e
The efficient three-knife trimmer
The prior-ranking development target to be realized on the new Wohlenberg three-knife trimmers were the efficiency increase by reducing set-up times and an improved energy balance. The design and ergonomics of the trim-tec 60e were completely re-created. Generously designed covers allow a comfortable and quick overview. The Navigator operated by touch-screen and positioned in the central control section, can be swivelled and turned.
The clutch-free drive concept with dynamic-drive Technology provides, in connection with the robust and proven one-piece machine frame, a running smoothness beyond compare with at the same time maximum machine speed. The trim-tec 60e is an inline three-knife trimmer in the medium speed range and therefore perfectly matches with the Wohlenberg perfect binders City e and Vento.

The dynamic three-knife trimmer
An inline high-performance three-knife trimmer with integrated counter stacker for perfect binding systems in the upper performance range. Outstanding performance feature of the Wohlenberg three-knife trimmer trim-tec 90e is the innovative drive concept in dynamic-drive Technology. This drive concept allows for a considerable speed increase of the machine and a significant reduction of set-up times. As a result, the organization of the user will change significantly, since previously considered possible set-up times can be realized — this is a major contribution to increasing the efficiency of an perfect binding system.
Visible proof of this technology is the modern design, which takes the latest ergonomic knowledge into account and reduces the operator’s workload.
Energy is an important expense factor. The constantly rising energy prices play an important role in the bookbindery and printing shop-calculation. The power consumption on the trim-tec 90e could be reduced by 46% compared to the power consumption of the pre ceding model. Dynamic-drive Technology is the key word in this context. By means of the dynamic-drive Technology the generative energy of a drive is used to power another drive.

Foredge trimming device VSS
Perfect quality economically produced
Foredge trimming device VSS allows a rational and high quality production of products with gatefolds. Products with gatefolds and shorter text can be produced inline in one pass at high speed. Fully motorised adjustment of all formats via Navigator of the perfect binder — no separate setup process required.
The foredge trimming device is a integrated, patented part of a perfect binder. Since the foredge is trimmed in the clamp during the actual perfect binding process a high cutting precision and product accuracy is guaranteed.

Cover folder feeder KRF
Gatefolded product in one pass
Products with gatefolded covers can be produced rationally and inline with the cover folder feeder. The full-surface scoring knives guarantee an excakt scoring of even the heaviest cover stock. Folding process via folding knives, shaped parts and pressing rollers. All essential format adjustments motorised via Navigator. The cover folder feeder is available on the inline or universal editions.
A visible sign of this new technology is, that the cover folding station KRF allows processing of open covers of more than 1000 mm.
10 teat positions in Winjector technology, a feed device in the bottom plate of the feeder and pulsating blown air ensure a safe and constant separation of the covers.
